Hello Mr. David. I purchased ULSS for my Audio and Video tech at our Church in Phoenix AZ. I personally have a very technical background and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. I assigned one of my video technicians to take the course. He completed all the videos in just over three hours. I informed him that I would be giving him an informal verbal assessment to determine his level knowledge and comprehension after completing the course. Mind you his original depth of knowledge was very close to zero from an audio/sound perspective. This course is succint in presenting the fundamentals of audio mixing. You will learn about the physics of sound (vibrations in a medium in this case air) without the heavy math. You’ll learn about frequencies in units of Hertz (Hz), the measurement of loudness in decibels (Db) , and how to operate any sound mixer understanding basic fundamentals of the signal chain, how to add effects like reverb, how to group instruments together into sub-groups, and topics about power amplifiers, cabling, and troubleshooting problems such as ground loops and noise. A fine training for beginners, or those who need a refresh. A great tool to have in your sound library.
