As always, this course on DVD was super helpful for myself and for the training of our sound team which includes several people new to sound and all of us are amateurs. David covers all the basics, always illustrates and explains well, and the examples really focus in on the difference that compression and gates can make. Well David hit another homerun with this one as far as I am concerned. I'm a standalone DP32sd and BR-800 kind of guy, but I was still able to get a lot out of the class. Although it is mostly geared for those who are using DAW's the stand alone crowd can still benefit from this video series. Actually I do use Audacity to edit some of my tracks and even though David was using Reason and Pro Tools I could still find workarounds to apply what he was teaching.. Thanks David..

I really loved this training course on getting the most in vocal recording. I've been writing, recording, and producing my own songs for about 3 years, and have struggled to get the best vocal sound. I've watched a myriad of YouTube videos which offered some help, but I was extremely impressed with how David Wills recorded a lead vocal as well as 3-part harmonies during the class.
